Description

This course will provide students with the knowledge and procedures to coordinate offshore helicopter operations as outlined by the Atlantic Canada Offshore Petroleum Industry Standard Practice for the Training and Qualifications of Personnel.

Learning Outcomes

  • To provide participants with knowledge of the hazards inherent to helideck operations.

  • To enable participants to conduct helideck operations safely and efficiently.

  • To provide participants with knowledge about appropriate helicopter fuelling procedures

Certificate of Achievement

Prerequisites

Valid Basic Survival Training Certificate (or equivalent);

Valid Offshore Fire Team Certificate or Valid Offshore Helicopter FireFighting and Rescue Certificate (or equivalent); and

Six months experience in Helideck Operations on an Offshore Installation verified by the employer or prior Helicopter Landing Officer Certificate
