Description
This course is an introductory course developed to prepare participant’s to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the development stages of otter trawling, display knowledge of otter trawling relative to survey trawls, discuss the principles of net making, repair nets, have an up-to-date knowledge of survey trawl construction and design techniques, and demonstrate an understanding of overall survey trawling operations.
Learning Outcomes
This course will develop the participants’ ability to:- Understand the development stages of otter trawling;
- Develop knowledge of otter trawling relative to survey trawls;
- Understand the principles of net making;
- Repair nets;
- Have an up-to-date knowledge of survey trawl construction and design techniques; and
- Understand overall survey trawling operations.
