Description

This course is designed to give workers/participants an understanding of coastal restoration processes. It includes an introduction to various sources of coastal degradation; the typical restoration projects which have been initiated in the Atlantic coastlines; a general introduction to the methods used to restore coastal ecosystems, including introducing the processes involved in planning and implementing such efforts; examples of how to define and measure success within such projects; and introducing the various tools and methods required for monitoring coastal ecosystems before, during and after restoration.
