Description

This course is designed to cover the required topics as identified for second class engineers in the Transport Canada Publication TP 2293 - Training of Marine Personnel with additional material from IMO Model Course 7.04. It will be delivered according to the standards established with TP 15030 - Block Credit Course Accreditation.

Learning Outcomes

To provide students with a basic working knowledge of mechanics and the application of mechanics to physical systems found onboard a vessel.

Transport Canada Training Certificate

Prerequisites

Candidate must be at least 18 years of age

Notes

Students must attend 90% of all synchronous lectures. Participation in asynchronous activities is required and will be monitored.
