705835 - Fall Protection (WSCC)
Description
This course will enable the participant to identify and safely use the proper equipment for fall protection in the workplace. This course will meet the Workers Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) Act and regulations regarding Fall Protection.Learning Outcomes
- Provide the student with basic knowledge of Fall Protection and Fall Arrest Systems.
- Enable students to select, inspect, assemble, don, and use Fall Arrest Equipment.
- Provide students with basic knowledge of a Fall Protection Plan.
- Familiarize students with basic knowledge of reporting accidents/incidents.
- Familiarize students with basic rescue considerations.

Please be advised that the daily course schedules are subject to change and all participants should be prepared for course deliveries outside normal business hours (i.e. evenings and weekends). You will be notified if any such change is necessary. In the event of inclement weather, students should visit www.mi.mun.ca for important announcements regarding class cancellations and rescheduling. Announcements regarding class cancellations will also be on local radio stations.
If you are eligible to receive a T2202A for tax purposes, they will be available on Short Course Registration in February of the following year. Students are advised to log into your Destiny account in order to print a copy of your T2202A form.
