Description

This course is designed to provide ship boarding and water safety awareness including an understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary to react effictively to, and be rescued from, cold water accidental immersion.

Learning Outcomes

  • To give participants a basic understanding of Personal Buoyancy Apparatus and water safety.
  • To give participants a basic understanding of Gangway and Ladder Safety.
  • To provide participants with the knowledge and skill of cold water safety and survival.
  • To provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve self-rescue in accidental immersion situations
