This course is designed to provide spill responders with basic practical information that will help them to respond quickly and appropriately to a spill on both land and water.

Learning Outcomes

  • To enable the participant to understand basic concepts associated with environmental spill response
  • To show the participant the impact and consequences of environmental spills
  • To acquaint the participant with facilities and organizations tasked with response to environmental spills
  • To familiarize the participant in common small spill cleanup strategies and techniques
