Description

This course is a refresher course for ballast control operator as required by industry. It will be provided to students who have not completed a ballast control course in the past three years.

Learning Outcomes

This course will enable course participants to:

  • To refresh the students’ knowledge for the necessities of operating a ballast and related systems on a simulated Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) safely.
  • To enable students to detect and react to simulated faults which can take place in the ballast and related systems on a MODU.
  • To prepare the students for emergencies by instructing them in pollution prevention measures.
