Description

This course is designed to cover all of the electrotechnology theory required for marine engineering students to successfully complete the Transport Canada second class examination as per TP 15030E for block credit course accreditation and section 27.6, chapter 27 of TP 2293E for the examination and certification of seafarers.

Learning Outcomes

To provide the students with a working knowledge of electrotechnology and the applications of electrotechnology to systems found on board a vessel.

Prerequisites

Candidate must be at least 18 years of age>

Notes

Course hours includes instruction, as well as time for problem solving, reading and completion of exercises, reviewing legislation, practical use of equipment and observation, and evaluations.
