Description

This course is designed to develop the skills necessary to perform firefighting and rescue operations in the event of a helicopter crash on an offshore platform.

Learning Outcomes

  • To enable students to identify the major components of a helicopter and its related fire safety hazards.
  • To enable students to identify helicopter crash rescue and fire safety equipment.
  • To provide students with the ability to perform rescue and firefighting procedures.

Prerequisites

Valid CAPP Medical;
MED B2 or Offshore Fire Team Course or Comparable Firefighter Training;
STCW Basic Safety;
Valid Quantitative Fit Test Certificate for the Scott AV 3000 face piece
