This Technical Drawing course is designed to cover the required topics as identified for second class engineers in the Transport Canada Publication TP 2293 - Training of Marine Personnel and delivered according to the standards established with TP 15030E section 27.8 Technical Drawing (2D) - Block Credit Course Accreditation. 

Learning Outcomes

To provide students with a basic knowledge of engineering drafting fundamentals.

To enable students to create acceptable technical drawings and sketches in order to transmit technical information.

To provide students with the knowledge to create general assembly drawings in a 2D format that transmits all relevant information in a standard format.

Transport Canada Training Certificate

Prerequisites

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age

Notes

Course hours include web-based instruction, as well as time to practice drawing different types of drawings outlined in Major Topics and reading and completing assigned drawings on a weekly basis
