Description

This course provides an overview of how to build inclusive and respectful workplaces. Participants will develop an understanding of the foundations of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), including unconscious bias, power dynamics, and microaggressions. The course equips participants with essential knowledge and skills to foster effective, inclusive, and respectful work environments across all levels of an organization.

Learning Outcomes

  • Foundations of Inclusion and Respect: Understand the core principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect, including the impact of unconscious bias on workplace relationships.

  • Workplace Culture and Psychological Safety: Explore how culture, power dynamics, and microaggressions influence employee wellbeing and inclusion.

  • Human Rights and Workplace Policies: Learn about legal responsibilities, respectful workplace policies, and roles of employees and leaders in maintaining a safe environment.

  • Accountability and Responsibility: Develop skills in bystander intervention, reporting processes, and leadership modeling for inclusive behavior.

  • Building Everyday Inclusion: Strengthen allyship and practical techniques for fostering inclusion and respect in daily workplace interactions.
